She’s Chic: Beauty & Skincare with Andrea Difabio @a_difabs

Andrea Difabio in her beauty room at her home, in Montreal. December 2017.

I met up with my really great friend, Andrea Difabio last weekend to catch up on some her beauty faves and how-to’s. She’s my go-to beauty source and I wanted to share her insight with you guys. We filmed a LIVE on my IG (@stephaniechic) which I am in the process of uploading to my YT channel. Stay tuned.

As written by Andrea. My top 3 brands weren’t too hard to pick; I really came into my role as a makeup artist at MAC so it is definitely always top of my list. I seem to always have RMS staples on hand (especially the unbelievable “un” powder) and, I have to say, everything about the Glossier story intrigues me. I also recently discovered The Ordinary. I learned a lot about this brand from one of my favorite vloggers; The Gothamista-  I will let Renée tell you more about how to find the right products for you. One of my fave bronzers is similarly from a truly underrated brand in my opinion; Physician’s Formula. Their Butter Bronzer, along with the rest of their makeup line, is infused with good-for-you ingredients at an affordable price point. This bronzer has made its way around the beauty vlogosphere, including on one of my favorite makeup tutorial channels; PixiWoo.
In the colder winter months my skin craves moisture. Weleda Skin Food and Belif Aqua Bomb are my saviours. I live for lip balms year-round (I am a slave to Baby Lips) but this winter I will be stocking up on my new fave; the Sugar Caramel Lip Balm by Fresh. A new season is also sign that I need to get to a spa for my biannual Microdermabrasion facials. A must this time of year to get my skin prepped for the harsh weather ahead. Post-facial I treat myself to Eve Lom‘s Cleansing routine, complete with Muslin Cloths, my new skincare obsession. Winter months also mean I switch from my usual Byredo Bal D’Afrique perfume to a long-time staple, Zara Chocolate Eau de Toilette- seriously!
I am also excited for this winter because it-girl beauty guru, @Violette_Fr is coming out with products she is developing as the new Global Beauty Director at Estée Lauder. If it’s anything like their recent collab with Victoria Beckham, I am going to be one happy makeup junkie this season! – @a_difabs December 2017.
